The pyramid of Djoser, sometimes called the Step Pyramid of Djoser, is an archaeological site in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt, northwest of the ruins of Memphis. The 6-tier, 4-sided structure is the earliest colossal stone building in Egypt.

Pharoah Djoser was the second king of the 3rd dynasty of ancient Egypt. He was known for saving Egypt from a seven-year famine and constructing the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. His 19-year reign was marked by significant technological innovation with the help of his trusted advisor, Imhotep. During Djoser's reign, Egypt thrived in architecture and science and became a becon of knowledge to the entire world.
